Financial Freedom

This virtual zoom session was held on Wednesday April 21st, 2021 from 8:00pm-10:00pm. The purpose of this event was to educate and assist the community on different financial aspect. We had two guest speakers that both spoke on improving credit score and life insurance policies. We plan to host another financial freedom event. The second one will be an in person event. Please stay tuned for more information.

Pass a Mask

This event is a top priority event for the community. Southeast Raleigh has the highest cases of COVID-19 in Raleigh, NC. Black Salute will be passing out disposable mask to the community on Saturday May 29th, 2021 at Sanderford Road Park. The purpose of this event is to provoke awareness to the people in the community that COVID-19 is severe. Also, to promote awareness to the community to protect themselves and the lives of others.

Law of the Land

This event is a workshop that we will be hosting on Saturday October 2nd from 11:00am - 1:00pm. The purpose of this event is to educate the community on the laws of this country. After this workshop individuals will know their constitutional rights, difference between nationality and property of the state, and policies and procedures. The location for this workshop will be determined soon.

Trunk a Treat 

The Trunk a Treat event is a Halloween event where Black Salute passed out candy bags to the kids in the community. We partnered with the City of Raleigh Parks & Recreation to assist us with passing out the candy. This event took place on Saturday October 30th from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Sander-ford Road Park. Please bring your kids out to enjoy the Halloween festivities and yo get free candy.

Back to School 
Book Bag Drive
 

This event is a back to school book bag drive. Black Salute partnered with Church of God of Prophecy in Wake Forest, NC. We will be passing out over 200+ book bags to the kids in the community.

The date for this event is Saturday August 14th, 2021 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Location of the event is 1860 North White Street Wake Forest, NC.

Please come out and get a book bag for your child.

Breaking Bread

Breaking Bread event is by far our largest event Black salute host. We decided to partner with The Fish House, NINE-19, and Shelia's, 986 catering, and South East Raleigh Rotary Club. We Love to feed the community during the weekend before the week of Thanksgiving. Our purpose in doing this is to provide hot meals for those who are not able to have a hot meal or east with their families during Thanksgiving. This event will take place on Saturday, November 13th & Saturday, November 20st from 10:00 am-4:00 pm at 2526 Sanderford Rd. Raleigh, NC 27610
