Pass a Mask
This event was a priority event for the community. Southeast Raleigh has the highest cases of COVID-19 in Raleigh, NC. Black Salute passed out over 1500 disposable mask to the community. The purpose of this event was to provoke awareness to the people in the community that COVID-19 is severe. Also, to promote awareness to the community to protect themselves and the lives of others. This event took place on Saturday September 26th, 2020. The time frame was from 10:30am-2:00pm.

Trunk a Treat
The Trunk a Treat event is a Halloween event where Black Salute passed out candy bags to the kids in the community. We partnered with the City of Raleigh Parks & Recreation to assist us with passing out the candy. This event took place on Friday, October 30th from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Sanderford Road Park.
Breaking Bread
Breaking Bread event is by far our largest event Black salute decided to partner with The Fish House, NINE-19, and Shelia's Love non-profits to feed the community during the two weekends before the week of Thanksgiving. Our purpose in doing this is to provide hot meals for those who are not able to have a hot meal or east with their families during Thanksgiving. This event will take place on Saturday, November 14th & Saturday, November 21st from 10:30 am-4:30 pm.

Jingle Jangle Toy Drive
Black Salute hosted the Jingle Jangle Toy Drive on December 19th 11:30am-4:00pm at 2235 Garner Road Raleigh, NC 27610. This event was a toy pass out to the kids in Southeast Raleigh Community. Due to COVID-19 numbers increasing. All participants must stay in their car and pull up and pull off.
